Privacy Policy

Farm Island is designed to be a small, private iPhone companion. This policy explains the limited information the app may process to provide its features.

Information stored on your device

Your selected animal, feeding preference, happiness state, and Live Activity settings are stored locally on your iPhone so Farm Island can remember how you like to play.

Live Activities

Farm Island uses Apple Live Activities and ActivityKit to show your animal on the Dynamic Island and Lock Screen. Apple may provide a push token that enables Live Activity updates. To deliver those updates, Farm Island securely sends the token, a random Live Activity identifier, your selected animal, happiness state, feeding setting, and most recent feeding time to its service provider. This information is used only for app functionality. The token and farm state remain associated with the Live Activity on your device, but are not connected to an account, your name, or your real-world identity. We do not use this information for advertising or tracking.

Information we do not request

Farm Island does not require an account and does not ask for your name, contacts, precise location, photos, camera, microphone, or health data. The app is not designed to sell personal information or serve targeted advertising.

Service providers

Limited technical data required to operate Live Activity updates may be processed by Apple, Supabase, and the infrastructure providers used to deliver those updates. A one-way hash derived from a network address may be kept briefly to prevent abuse and enforce rate limits. Their handling of information is also governed by their own privacy terms.

Data retention and deletion

Local app preferences remain on your device until you change them or delete the app. Live Activity registration and rate-limit information is automatically removed after it has been inactive for approximately 48 hours. Sending your animal back to the barn immediately removes its Live Activity registration; the one-way rate-limit hash may remain for up to 48 hours.

Children's privacy

Farm Island does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe information was provided unexpectedly, contact us so we can investigate.
